Meet Jon Robertson

Jon Robertson is a respected trial lawyer with decades of litigation experience here to serve your legal needs.

Mr. Robertson has practiced law for over thirty-three years as a litigator. He has tried 24 contested cases to verdict or judgment in his career, all as first chair. In addition, he has conducted numerous arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Robertson’s litigation practice area includes commercial contracts and collection, business torts, real property, shareholder and partnership disputes, lender liability, consumer finance, commercial equipment leasing and unfair competition.

Mr. Robertson is admitted to practice in all state courts in California and each of the U.S. District Courts in California, as well as the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a member of the American Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Robertson was President of the USC Law School Alumni Association from 2015 through 2016.

In addition, Mr. Robertson has served in the following capacities: Chief Operations Officer, Vice President and Assistant Secretary, Suzuki Motor of America, Inc., February through March 2013, during its bankruptcy reorganization; Member, Orange County Bar Association Judiciary Committee, 2010 to 2014; Member, City of Newport Beach Environmental Quality Affairs Committee, 1998; Board of Directors, Harbor View Hills Community Association, 1996 to 1998; Board of Directors, Corona del Mar High School Foundation, 2012 to present. President, Orange County USC Legion Lex, 1993 to 1994; President, Pomona College Orange County Club, 1989; Elder, Laguna Presbyterian Church, 2008 to 2011.

Mr. Robertson began his career with the Los Angeles and Orange County offices of the national law firm McKenna, Conner & Cuneo. Mr. Robertson was an associate with the Newport Beach office of the international law firm McDermott, Will & Emery. Thereafter, he was a partner in Darling & Robertson, LLP and its successor firms. Mr. Robertson received his undergraduate degree from Pomona College in 1984, where he was selected for Mortar Board. Mr. Robertson is a 1987 graduate of the University of Southern California Law School where he was a Hale Moot Court Competition Finalist.
